Assuming a Military License Is a CDL
Military vehicle qualifications and driving experience can support a state application, but they are not a civilian CDL. The FMCSA military waiver may remove only the skills test for eligible applicants. States still control knowledge testing, medical certification, endorsements, records, fees, and issuance. Verify the current state process, deadlines, required forms, and eligible vehicle history before applying.

Using military explosives, reading drawings, surveying grade, or testing materials does not automatically grant a civilian blasting license, professional engineer authority, or laboratory certification.
